The Virginia compliance model

Virginia is a private-inspector state. The practice selects and pays a qualified inspector, registers the CBCT within 30 days after installation, and must request the initial inspection within that same 30-day window. In practical terms, the inspection should be completed within 60 days. Virginia does not require a Maryland-style pre-installation plan filing, but floor plans, shielding specifications, and equipment-arrangement documentation must still be available for review.
